September 16-October 21 (6 weeks)
October 28- December 9 (6 weeks)
New students are encouraged to join at the beginning of each session.
We aim to provide a nurturing and motivational singing experience. Our Choristers are boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 11 years old. The ability to read music is not required, but the desire to sing and learn is! The most important chorister attribute is an open and curious mind, and the desire to learn great music.
The choir school is open to all regardless of religious affiliation or level of musical ability. Our young singers will learn posture and breathing, tone quality and intonation, and notation basics for both pitch and rhythm. They will sing spiritual music from a variety of material drawn from both the classical repertoire as well as from contemporary and world music.
In addition, the choir school gives children an opportunity to develop teamwork and leadership skills in a supportive and creative atmosphere.
