TOOLS FOR ENGAGING A CALL IN THE COMMUNITY, SATURDAY NOVEMBER 3, 10 AM – 3 PM, MEETING ROOM: Have you been feeling a nudge from God to put your faith more into action but aren’t sure where to begin? Come to this workshop to be equipped to explore what it means for you to participate in God’s mission of renewal in this time and place. The workshop will include community organizing practices adapted for a Christian context: prayer, storytelling to help people connect with their own call, and 1:1 relationship-building. Participants will leave with a better sense of how they can explore or strengthen a missional call, with whom they can explore that call, and next steps for doing so. For those who discover a call around a certain issue, there will be a follow up workshop in late January to help people move into action as a team. Lunch and childcare will be provided.
