Please join us in the Meeting Room at 9 am to hear about all the significant actions and decisions made at the convention which will affect the shape and life of our church.
BISHOP ELY AND JERUSALEM PEACEBUILDERS AT ST. MICHAEL’S: On Sunday, August 2 at the 10:15 am worship service, campers from the Jerusalem Peacebuilders (Palestinian, Israeli and American youth) will give the sermon and Bishop Ely will celebrate the Eucharist. Following the worship service, light refreshments will be served and all are encouraged to take part in Paint for Peace on the Brattleboro Common (see below).
PAINT FOR PEACE, 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Join Israeli, Palestinian, and American youth participants from the Jerusalem Peacebuilders Leadership Camp on the Brattleboro Common to paint an original 40-foot peace banner that will travel the country. Paints and brushes provided. The peace-builders will also share their stories, perform skits and recite poetry during the event. This interfaith event invites people from all faith traditions in and around Brattleboro to come and join us in supporting these inspiring young leaders in their quest for peace.
