St. Michael’s Church welcomes Dr. Dottie Morris to preach at the 10:15 a.m. service and lead the Adult Forum at 9:00 a.m.
Dr. Dottie Morris has been Chief Officer for Diversity and Multi- culturalism at Keene College since 2008. Dr. Morris will speak about Martin Luther King’s dream and vision were he to be speaking to us today. The liturgy and readings will celebrate King’s life and vision.
Dr. Morris will also lead the Adult Forum focusing promoting diversity in our own families and life around us. Maya Angelou: “It is time for parents to teach young people early on that in diversity there is beauty and there is strength.”
As Chief Officer for Diversity and Multiculturalism, Dr. Morris recommends institutional practices and policies that foster a welcoming and inclusive campus community.
She reports directly to the president, and provides support and resources
to the College’s deans, commissions, department chairs, administrators, staff, and students in matters related to the advancement of the College’s goals for diversity and multiculturalism. In
Brattleboro, Dottie served as the Associate Dean for Student Learning at World Learning School for International Training (SIT) Institute.
